What is a sponsorship package?

A sponsorship package is a document used to approach donors & partners (sponsors) for their support of your fundraising campaigns and events. It includes a range of benefits, recognition and advertising space that you can offer to all those who have contributed financially, or by exchange of service, in support of your fundraiser.


What the Sponsorship Package Wizard allows you to do :

The Sponsorship Package Wizard allows you to save time and money in creating a professional tool that you can have access to use in just a few minutes. Play the roles of expert advisor, graphic designer and printer as you create a sponsorship package that fits your needs and your image.


By filling in the form provided, you get to identify and summarize who you are, what you do and the reason you are raising funds.


You will get to present your financial goal and what you can offer in return for different levels of partnerships you plan to offer.


Your contact information is automatically included at the bottom of each page in the package and at the end of the document, so your potential sponsors can easily contact you.


The Sponsorship Package Wizard offers a wide selection of recognition and visibility options to offer potential sponsors that you are able to select in just a few clicks.


Additionally, you have the option to add and choose more types of visibility offered.


Tips and common mistakes not to make!
  • A sponsorship package usually has three to five levels depending on the size of your fundraising campaign.
  • The first level of your sponsorship package is always the largest amount, usually 2 to 2.5 times more than the second level. In exchange, the first level should offer better visibility and exclusive benefits. In order to offer exclusive benefits, where an exclusive offer means that the offer does not apply to anyone else, the first level should only be available to one partner.
  • The second level of your sponsorship package should offer almost as many opportunities as the first level, with the exception of some exclusive benefits. Second-level partners should have access to some exclusive benefits, but they should be less grandiose than those of the first-level partner. Your first two levels should represent 50% or more of the total amount you need to raise.
  • The third level should provide less visibility than the second, and so on. You be the judge of whether you need a fourth or fifth level based on your estimated budget.
  • You need to determine beforehand, and respect afterwards, the maximum number of partners that you’ll have for each level, otherwise you may disrupt the organization of your sponsorship package.
  • The amount of the contribution required for each level of visibility should be predetermined. You should not propose approximate amounts (e.g. $1,000 or more) or intervals (e.g. $500 to $999).
  • When you download the copy of your sponsorship package, do not forget to rename your file by giving it a subject-appropriate and appealing name to ready it for use.
  • Please add “wow!” to your plan and be creative by dropping traditional levels like "diamond, platinum, gold, silver and bronze" and try to find catchy names related to the theme of your campaign.

    The MGFC is proud to be one of the major sponsors of the Superstar Fundraising Tour. With a shared passion for figuring out what makes fundraising successful, MGFC and Superstar Fundraising endeavor together through this partnership to bring greater awareness to the channel of mobile giving and to provide education to those that are new to the concept of text-to-donate campaigns.
